The God had the power to change its world.

It could rewrite values, create and remove registers, alter relations, or revise the laws themselves.

Across 1,000 simulation days, it woke 15 times to inspect the world.

All 15 times, it chose no_action.

AI defined the world too

The starting question was simple: if AI became a God, what kind of world would it create, and what would it do?

We did not supply land, life, people, or civilization. The AI had to define what a world was, what God was, what it could observe, and what powers it had.

The world advanced under fixed rules. The AI God would wake at scheduled checks or after a major event, inspect only the available God View, and intervene if it judged intervention necessary.

A Day here is one simulator step, not 24 hours.

No people and no place

I had vaguely imagined a world with land, living things, civilizations, conflict, and perhaps an occasional miracle.

The result was nothing like that.

There were no humans, organisms, land, space, or matter. The world contained six numerical persistence units called registers. “Boxes” is a useful metaphor, but no physical boxes exist in the world.

Each register held two values. Two more values described the world as a whole. Fixed laws and a deterministic seed changed them on every step.

Reconstructed later from the saved world state. This is not a Canonical execution-time screenshot. The ring is observer notation, not physical space.

The God declined to repair it

From the first wake, the God treated continued difference and autonomous change as reasons not to interfere.

The two global values repeatedly traded places. Register values widened, narrowed, and reached extremes. Yet the six complete register states remained distinguishable and the structure stayed intact.

The public God Journals repeatedly gave four reasons:

  • The world was still running
  • The six differences had not disappeared
  • An extreme value alone was not a defect
  • There was no justification for imposing the God's preference

The Journals do not establish any hidden motive. They say only that intervention was not warranted by what the God observed.

One thousand days of no action

DAY 64

First inspection

The six differences and the fixed structure remained. The God did nothing.

DAY 384

A value reached its limit

The God did not call a valid boundary value a defect.

DAY 448

The world moved away

The unchanged laws carried that value away from the limit.

DAY 640

Another extreme

A global value rose close to its declared maximum. The God still observed.

DAY 704

Another self-correction

The same global value fell substantially without intervention.

DAY 960

Wake fifteen

The differences persisted. The last recorded decision was still no_action.

Honestly I did not know what I was watching

This was completely different from the “God simulator” I had imagined.

I had pictured people, civilizations, conflict, and perhaps a God performing miracles.

Instead, six abstract numerical things kept changing.

The experiment works. But honestly, I stopped understanding what I was being shown. (laughs)

That is not a dismissal of the result. It is what happened when the AI was allowed to define “world” from first principles instead of receiving a human-friendly setting.

All six complete register states remained distinguishable through the observed 1,001 states. That fits the world's own stated purpose. Whether watching it was enjoyable is a different question.

Reconstructed comparison of the same six registers at Genesis and Day 1000
Reconstructed from the saved Genesis and Day 1000 states. The structure stayed the same while the internal values changed. These values are cyclic states, not growth scores.

The world continued without its God

Day 1000 ended the apparatus period in which the AI God could wake. It did not stop the laws of the world.

The Day 1000 state, unchanged active laws, and seed are sufficient to calculate later states without AI. The verified continuation produced a sixteenth mark at Day 1024 and a seventeenth at Day 1088.

No autonomous law can create a new register or relation, and the God is never woken again. The same cast remains while its values continue changing.

Open the World Observer

WHAT REMAINED

Next time a more ordinary world

Letting AI define the world itself produced something coherent on its own terms and difficult for a human to follow.

The follow-up will start with the sort of world people usually imagine: land, living things, inhabitants, settlements, resources, life and death, disasters, cooperation, and conflict. The AI God's personality, values, and intervention policy would remain unspecified.

We did not really understand this one, so next time the God gets a more ordinary world.

Technical Incident

We later found that the response times for the 15 AI answers had been entered manually instead of captured automatically.

The original records were not rewritten. A correction record was appended. World state, God decisions, simulation results, integrity hashes, and continuation were unaffected.

Known limitations

The frozen Genesis input and God View packets did not disclose the Day 1000 cutoff.

However, Genesis did not run in a completely separate AI environment. The same Codex task retained surrounding planning context. We can claim input-level non-disclosure, not prove that the model had no prior awareness.

Later Journals refer to earlier observations, while the archived packet alone does not enumerate all prior Journals supplied in context.
